Virtually all peregrine falcons in the Netherlands breed in a nest box or nest box. Nest boxes for the peregrine falcon are often placed high on buildings or in pylons. Therefore, the quality of the cabinet must be of high quality. Watch live footage of a peregrine falcon hive at the church in Venray.

This nesting box is made of exterior concrete plywood and is screwed together with stainless steel screws. The roof is coated with bitumen and finished with aluminum corner profiles. The hive comes with a galvanized approach grid and a 25 kg bag of fine gravel as nesting material. For mounting, you can make your own construction or choose our standard hanging frame. However, this frame can only be used for mounting on a wall or facade.

The peregrine falcon nesting box is usually placed on tall buildings such as flats, towers or churches. This is specialized work. Each location should be considered to determine what the options are and how best to place the nest box. We can advise on this and provide installation. Please contact us for this.

The hive can be cleaned after the breeding season (preferably in the winter months). In doing so, leave the gravel in the hive and remove only the prey remains, etc., left over from the breeding season.
